Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
What you write about your dreams can touch on your health. Here is exactly what happens with it.
Last updated:
Effective date: October 14, 2026.
This policy explains how Minsence handles consumer health data in the Minsence app (the "App"), as required by Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in other states, such as Nevada. It adds to ourApp Privacy Notice.
Minsence is a business name of Christian Parricella. Minsence, c/o Parricella, Sturzeneggstrasse 38B, 9015 St. Gallen, Switzerland.support@minsence.com
What consumer health data we collect and why
Minsence is a dream journal with AI interpretations and an AI Companion. It is not a medical app and does not ask about your health. But what you write can describe your feelings, mood, stress, sleep, or your mental or physical health, and the law treats that as consumer health data. This can be part of:
- your dreams (title and text) and the date of the dream;
- interpretations the App creates for you;
- your conversations with the AI Companion.
We use this data only to provide the App you asked for: to store your journal and show it to you, and to create interpretations and Companion replies. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make decisions about you.
Where the data comes from
From you, when you write in the App, and from the interpretations and replies our AI service creates from what you write.
Consent
We collect this data only with your consent. You give it separately from our Terms, with its own checkbox when you create your account. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account, which also deletes the data. We do not collect consumer health data from anyone who has not consented.
Who receives it
We do not sell consumer health data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. To run the App, it is processed on our behalf by these service providers, under contract and only following our instructions:
| Provider | What it does | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC, Cloud Firestore, data stored in Zurich, Switzerland | Stores your journal | Dreams, interpretations |
| Google LLC (USA), Gemini API | Creates interpretations and Companion replies | Dreams, interpretations, Companion messages |
| Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) | Runs the Minsence server | All data passing through the App |
| Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), Email Routing, and Google LLC (USA), Gmail | Forward and keep emails you send us | What you write to us |
We may disclose data if required by law. In that case we disclose only what the law requires.
No third party collects consumer health data about you over time and across other websites or online services when you use the App.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, and access it, including a list of everyone we have shared it with and how to contact them;
- withdraw your consent;
- delete your consumer health data.
How:
- In the App: review, edit or delete any dream at any time, or delete everything under Settings, Delete account. Deleting your account withdraws your consent.
- By email: write to support@minsence.com from the email address of your account, with the subject "Health data request". We will confirm that the request comes from you, and answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within that period and answer within another 45 days at most.
We delete consumer health data within 30 days after confirming a deletion request, and instruct our service providers to delete it too. Copies that Google keeps to detect abuse of its AI service are deleted automatically within 55 days, and any copies in backup systems within six months at the latest. Requests are free of charge up to twice a year.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Health data appeal". We will answer in writing within 45 days and explain what we decided and why. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General or the attorney general of your state.
Changes to this policy
If we want to use consumer health data for a new purpose or share it in a new way, we will ask for your consent first. If we change this policy materially, we will tell you in the App before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the last change.
